For example, they’ll tell us that this Chronicle release is comprised of three \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003eex-Bourbon casks\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e that were distilled in 2011, aged five years, then vatted, and re-racked to age another three years for a total of eight. But a\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e handful of folks\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e have tasted a drop or two and we all have our guesses. The most common guess is that the casks come from the \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCaol Ila Distillery\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, but that’s just an educated guess.
