The Japanese term for space aliens is "uchuu-jin" (宇宙人), which literally means "space person." The term is commonly used in Japanese popular culture, science fiction, and other media to refer to beings from other planets or galaxies.
During the 19th century, Japanese ukiyo-e artists created captivating depictions of visiting UFOs that intrigued and inspired the people of Kyoto. These works of art played a significant role in spreading the influence of the uchuu-jin beyond Kyoto, becoming popular among the general population, who would gather to appreciate the intricate details of the UFOs depicted in their wood-block prints.
